Raised in the back woods of New England I learned to build, break, and fix things. I worked and wandered through life spinning tales of folklore. Adventure rang me up and we began a torrid love affair. Multiple coasts, countries and careers later I sat down and began telling stories through video. My mission in life is to engage you. If you have a story and need someone to shout it from the roof tops give me a call.

Bullet Points
BORN THIS WAY / 1981 My mother was an advocate of a life in the outdoors, mostly because we lived in a small house. "Get out of my hair and go play in the woods," she would yell.
PITY THE FOOL / 1994 I dropped out of the 5th grade because I felt fat and dumb. Instead I worked: Farmer, Carpenter, Logger, Landscaper, Television Salesman, Truck Driver, Fire Fighter, EMT, Ski Patroller, Coach. A SPACE ODYSSEY / 2001 I moved to San Francisco at the seasoned age of 20 to pursue a career in being a dirt bag sailboat racer. Within a month of moving it became clear to me that I should rid myself of my car and make my primary mode of transportation a bicycle. The tow truck driver was happy to remove my Subaru from the site of the accident at no cost if he could sell it for scrap. BODY FUELS THE MIND / 2003 I became a triathlete and no longer felt fat. I went to college and no longer felt dumb. PAIN IS FREE / 2006 After college I returned home to New Hampshire and fell into a rough crowd of Mountain Bikers and Adventure Racers. I became a personal trainer so I could learn more about my own training. SHOT IN THE DARK / 2007 I raced all over the world and I told stories on my blog and met the love of my life...online. MY WAY / 2009 I had been a jack-wagon most of my life, this started to change. June and I accidentally joined, then intentionally left, a cult. Together we opened a business, giving us an opportunity to meet and forge relationships with people we never could have imagined meeting. SCARED STRAIGHT / 2011 We had moved every 3-6 months for the first 6 years of our relationship. Running from ourselves and the fear of being human we disguised our travel as seeking adventure, friends and good Ultimate Frisbee. TOUCH DOWN / 2013 We landed in Charlotte and became fond of the people and the lifestyle. We have been still for the longest time in our lives and for once are not scared to stay put. AN EASIER SOFTER WAY / 2015 Once the dust settled it became clear to me that when I adjusted my approach to life things seemed to work out even better than i had hoped or I just started getting old. NESTING DOLLS / 2016 June and I bought a house. It's close to Home Depot and Ikea. Even Bed Bath and Beyond!!!! THE SHED / 2018 How do you christen a new shed? Get married in it! LEAPS IN BOUNDS / 2021 When I bought my first cinema camera I thought "How the hell am I'm going to pay for this?" When I bought the Arri Alexa Mini LF I thought....Well, actually, I thought the same thing, but have you ever had one of those days when you're like "Whatever, this might as well happen." It was one of those days. GINGERLY FILMS / PRESENT I am a freelance filmmaker and camera operator based in Charlotte, NC. I own a small production company and work with some amazing people to make films for a wide variety of clientele. Sometimes I just show up and make pretty pictures for people and other times I'm running the whole show. Either way, if you need a story told, I'd love to help shout it from the rooftops. |
